“We are drowning in information but starved by knowledge”*

11 RESOURCES TO THINK BROADER, DEEPER AND LEAD DIFFERENTLY ABOUT AI

The title of that article is a quote by *John Naisbitt and summarizes well some of the challenges I am facing. It is almost impossible to go a day without hearing about AI and related terms, no matter the place or time.

And consequently, it is difficult to cut through the noise (if you are not an expert). Distinguishing the valuable information in that context is a daunting task. Moreover, two patterns also amplify that. First, it seems there is a polarisation of views. It is exaggerating a bit, but on one side are the dream sellers, and on the other are the apocalyptic AI experts. That, combined with the fact that words and concepts are often used loosely. This leads to generic statements and conversations that only scratch the surface.

So below is a collection of resources I find useful to cut through the noise. They are a mix of critical, forward-looking, optimistic perspectives combined with some more informational resources around basic terminology and explanations on the matter.

Last but not least, I also remember writing a LinkedIn article on AI back in 2017 (Garbage In, Garbage Out). And that, I guess, is still valid for AI...and beyond. And so unless one does not put time and effort into understanding something, the way to knowledge will remain challenging. And I still have a long way to go…
