There are many good books around storytelling available. But this one has quite a unique take.

It’s split into 2 main sections.

The first one is composed of 38 stories which mix reflection with a bias towards action. It is structured in short stories, each telling a story which invariably ends with 2 questions: so what? and now what?

The second section of the book focusses on a series of essays around storytelling and to quote the author seeks to tell us « why story is such a powerful medium and how you can identify, shape, and communicate your own wisdom stories. »

The book is an invitation to look into ourselves, our stories and most importantly, hopefully, to come up with our own powerful set of stories.

It would be unfair to select a preferred story or part of the book. It would be like asking me to select my favorite song from Dire Straits’ Brother in Arms album.
